-Christmas 2010-
This year we spent a few days with Derrik's Family. We went up the mountain one of the days on snowmobiles and checked out all of the fallen down trees and damage from the big snow storm they had the days prior. As you can see from the pic's it was GORGEOUS up there, the boys worked on a HUGE sledding hill for a few hours it was pretty impressive. We were all So Wet and FREEZING by the time we got home and were so glad for warm showers and heat :)
The girls and kids just chilling on what stacey called her "snow couch" :)

We started him on the hill about half way up and he went all by himself and as you can see loved it:)
Lacee and I
Kray didn't have gloves so we snuggled towards the end of the day, it got SO COLD!
Derrik and his cousin Brenda working on a surprise for Dal, they worked on this forever it was a huge candy bar book... not blog approved these two are trouble when they get together!

This was a Highlight, Shay and Brenda put together quite the Gingerbread House making contest. We had to draw names out of a hat to see who our partners were. I think it was suppose to be timed for an hour but we ended up working on them for a few, it was So much fun!

I was with Derrik's Aunt and lets just say building a house out of icing and gingerbread is MUCH harder than it looks :( It was a wreck at first, but finally we made some progress.
Derrik and Lacee making their Mansion

So the reasoning behind our house is after spending at least a whole hour just trying to get the thing to stand we got MAD, hence the colors and theme :) Lol, we decided to go with the "Nightmare Before Christmas" gingerbread house... Looks a bit creepy, but we were going for different and I think we achieved that much for sure, ha!
And check out Derrik and Lacee's... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! This place is nicer than our home, lol I mean really look at the details its crazy. Notice the WREATH, Pond,/Skating Rink, Cracked stone sidewalk, snowman, ETC. I mean come on Really??? Devin and Brenda's was a log cabin and pretty impressive too but I didn't get a good close up picture. They all were pretty awesome!

I still liked mine better, sorry derrik ;)
